4D Finance Integration
An internal accounting integration operated by 4th Dimension Recovery Center. It is not a public product and is not available to other organizations.
What it does
4th Dimension Recovery Center is a non-profit organization that administers a large number of grant-funded programs and acts as fiscal sponsor for affiliated organizations. Accounting for that work requires allocating costs — particularly personnel costs — across many funding sources every pay period.
This integration connects to 4D's own QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's published API in order to:
- read general ledger, chart of accounts, class, and customer records;
- post balanced journal entries that allocate payroll and related costs to the correct program, department, and grant;
- generate internal financial statements, budget-versus-actual reporting, and grant compliance reporting.
Who uses it
Authorized finance staff of 4th Dimension Recovery Center. There are no external users, no customer accounts, and no public sign-up. The integration is authorized by a 4D QuickBooks administrator and can be disconnected by that administrator at any time from within QuickBooks Online.
No health information
This integration accesses accounting records only. It does not access, receive, store, or transmit protected health information, clinical records, or any data subject to 42 CFR Part 2. It has no connection to 4D's electronic health record or billing systems.
